is it worth to update my 4770K to 8700K?? for games?>?>

for how long do you believe that 4770K will serve me for to ,play games?>?

will i see any difference if i will update my 4770K to 8700K for games??

will 4770k last for the next 2 years for to play games??

will games ask for six cores and 8 cores in the next 2 years?? or i will be ok with my 4770k for the next 2 years?

and when do you believe that it wii be nessesary to update in new cpu??

will i see any proovement in fps if i will update my 4770K to 8700K?

do the games you play use more than 4 threads?

I went from a 4790K @ 4.5GHz to an 8700K @ 5GHz. I did not see a drastic improvement. I would look at getting a better GPU depending on what you have.

I just upgraded from a 3570 non k locked at 4.2 and 16gigs ddr3 at 1600 to a 8700k locked at 4.8 / 1.27 volts (delidded), 16 gigs 3600mhz ram. Since I went from 4 core 4 thread to 6 core 12 thread I noticed a substantial difference. Monitor is a 3440x1440 120 hz alienware. I do not get nearly as much frame variation and minimum frame rate is considerably higher.

Since your cpu is a 4 core 8 thread I am not so sure you need to switch yet. List some of the games you play and we can give better advice.

PubG for example was a gigantic difference. My minimum framerate is at least 20 frames higher. FE: I would be between 50-120 fps on the 3570 and now I am 70-75 minimum. Also CPU was at 75-85% workload before now it is at 40-45. Using a 1080Ti GPU BTW.

If it was me I would wait to see reviews of the 8 core Intel chip coming out later this year.

It really depends on the game and your current system.

I upgraded my son from a 2500k (non overclocked) to an 8700k (he had a GTX980Ti in both systems) and the difference was really dramatic in Overwatch which is the main game he plays.

That said, your CPU is 2 generations newer than his, is 1Ghz or so faster and you have hyper threading so the gap is a lot less for you than it was for him.

I'd make sure you have 16GB RAM first, then check the GPU. Some games are super bottlenecked by single core CPU performance and you could see some improvement by going to the 8700k, but you're looking at around $600ish (minus what you get from selling your gear) so unless you have a top end GPU, I'd do that first.

upgraded on 4790k @4.6ghz to 8700k 4.8ghz and i must say framerates are more stable and u can run more stuff on backround and stream while gaming with no problems. also if game uses more than 8 threads u will get more fps and more threads is more future proof.

Most folks that claim to see improvements with upgrading from a i7 also have done a GPU upgrade with the processor. The 4770K will be good for 2 years more with a good GPU upgrade.:)

It depends on the games you're playing. If you're playing the latest Triple-A titles, it could give a minor bump. If you're playing less demanding titles, it definitely isn't worth it. If you're streaming from that PC, it's worth the upgrade. It's also worth considering the R7 2700X at the same price point since it's better for streaming.

I wouldn't put a time frame on how long the i7-4770K will be a good gaming CPU. It's dependent on the games you play. Someone who only plays esports titles would never need to upgrade from an i7-4770K. As games become better at utilizing more threads, it would be beneficial to upgrade, but not necessarily mandatory.

I would personally wait until next spring to consider upgrading the CPU. Intel's 8-core mainstream CPU should be available by then and Zen 2 will be on the horizon. Zen 2 could be the point at which AMD takes the lead.

SO in which games latest Triple-A titles 4770K cant run well?

What GPU do you have?
If you've made it this far waiting for the next CPUs isn't too much of a stretch.
I have a 4690k @ 4.7 and haven't seen it hold my 1080 back yet. I play most games over 144fps.

If you only have a 780 you won't see much improvement with a faster CPU, your minimums in some situations might get better but I doubt it. A 4770k at 4.5Ghz is still great even if you had a 1070 or 1080.

I don't play AC.

Doom is something almost everyone has played or plays, with the high preset I get a constant 144fps with it capped.
Fortnite runs between 144 and 200fps with AA, effects and shadows on medium with the others on ultra.

I'm sure most new AAA titles won't run at 144FPS with almost any CPU/GPU combo, in games like that 60fps should be easy to maintain with a 4770k.

I'd upgrade the GPU first as that's the thing holding back your games.

Assassins Creed seems to be really hard on the CPU but this guy doesn't have any issues in the benchmark or whatever he's doing (4770k 4.4Ghz/GTX1080).

I feel like English isn't your native language so I'm sorry if I'm not quite answering you correctly.

If you get a 1180/1080TI I think you'll be fine for another 2-3 years. My 980 lasted me that long on 1080p.
In the games I play the 1080 does 1440p great, I really couldn't ask more from it really.

If you are buying for 3 years your best bet now is a used 1080TI or wait for the next GPUs.
I think used is a great way to save money and keep your resale value so that's something to think about.

Intel will have new CPUs with 8 cores soon so I'd really want to wait for that since you play Asassins Creed as it seems to scale across threads very well.

I'm not sure what you were asking about the video I posted. It's just a guy running the AC:O benchmark with your CPU and a 1080.

I'd get a used 1080TI now ($650) if you want 1440p for a few years or wait for the next GPUs.
Get that first then wait for new CPUs, when they come out you might get a better deal on current CPUs/Mobos or you can get the new 8 core parts.
