Hi,

I have my sig system and it sits around 40C on idle and 68C at load with a ambient temp of 28C (2500k @4.5/1.28v, Corsair a50)

Does this seem hot, and should I reseat my heatsink?

I'm just asking because I see people with similar heat sinks idle in the mid 30's and load at 60C or so

Thanks

It does seem higher than it should be to me. Is your rig in an enclosed area like a desk hole by chance?

Edit: or maybe I'm really finicky.

It's under my desk, but not enclosed by any means

Perhaps it's my ambient like Jaguarbamf stated, I might remount my heatsink later and see if it changes anything

Your ambients are on the high side and i would try and remount the a50. When reapplying the tim use a half sized grain of rice application. Using to much can be just as bad. All in all i think it's just a matter of lowering your ambients.
