hello!; i have a c0 e8400 OCed to 3.825 with 1.28 vcore and a Xigmatek RS-1283 with the stock 69 cfm cooler and MX-2 Thermal compound.

I have 5 x 40CFM Case coolers (2 for intake and 3 for exhaust)

Well my cpu temp at idle is at 33ºC

and at Full load is at about 60 - 62 ºC

(temps from Realtemp 2.70)

Are these temps OK?

they are safe..but could be lower..i'd say try a reseat, good thermal paste and a can of air on everything...

EDIT: for ****s and giggles..you can do a lapping job...

Sounds about right, but as said before, try a reseat of the cooler if you think temps are too high.

download the newset version of realtemp but temps are in the safe range. Just wondering what your room temp is?

Also remember that Wolfdale, E8XXX chips, have a TJMax of 100c.. I'm fairly sure the 8400's are the same as my 8500.

In Realtemp there is an option to set your TJMax so your temps are more accurate. Make sure to confirm your TJMax and adjust the application accordingly.

What program are you loading with?If it's IBT I would say they are just right but if it's Orthos ect. I would do a reapply and reseat.
