Hello people

I recently bought Samsung 840 Pro 128 GB and I updated all my drivers and enabled AHCI or whatever is required in the bios. This is first time I am using SSD and ran this benchmark. I am not sure If I am getting full potential or I can still tweak it further to make it faster.

Your comment will be appreciated. thanks.

A different driver would be able to get a higher score, much higher really bud. Just noticed that you have a 128 gb version so the numbers will be a little less but should be higher than you currently have.

I am using the achi driver from the new 12.0 irst driver.

Edit: Install the IRST driver and you will be set.

Bud.. I have Gateway DX4860-EF12P model and here is the webpage for specs.

http://ca.gateway.com/gw/en/CA/content/model/PT.GCPP2.021

I think it has Intel H67 Express chipset. I am not sure if that is same thing as motherboard. I downloaded all drivers from Gateway website. Will you please point me the right driver which I need to install in order to boost the performance. Thank you very much for your help .

You can bump your speed by upgrading to the latest firmware and enabling RAPID mode on an 840 PRO. I did so and my score jumped to 2186
