In almost every review I see the 4890 (overall) come very close to the gtx 275 but the gtx 275 seemed better. Is this list wrong:http://www.overclock.net/graphics-ca...time-last.html

Why 2 threads?

And no, they are about the same.
They are about the same, but the gtx may have better drivers. Use this list: Better list
Depends, run 8xMSAA and the 4890 will win practically every time

Depends on the moon phase, waxing (275), waning (4890).

They're pretty even right out of the box, oc headroom plays a major factor in the end result.

Are you looking to buy one of these cards?
Price wise, 4890 is the better deal.
4890 is slightly better, but barely. In some games the gtx275 may pull ahead. The 4890 is definitely superior in the price/performance sense though.
Agreed its better bang/buck, but performance-wise they're just about equal.

They are about equal, I would go with a 4890 because I am a fanboy who hates nvidia and I like to OC my cards, which the 4890 does brilliantly, but either card with give you comparable mileage and performance.

They are more or less even.
They both excel in certain games, and have certain strengths, but, mostly, they go hand in hand.
I went with the 4890 in my last build. It was even cheaper than a 260. No brainer there
It's pretty much even. 275 beats 4890 in some games and vise versa
4890 is cheaper and can be OCed to keep up with a 285

Exactly

To be fair a gtx275 can be overclocked to beat a 285 as well, but the 4890 overclocked will beat a overclocked gtx275.
If you use AA, the HD4890 usually pulls ahead.

The same thing if you overclock.

And going by newegg prices, the cheapest HD4890 is also $80 less after rebates than the cheapest GTX 275.
Got two 4890s in Crossfire... can max out any game i want... Depends on your tastes... I recommend the 4890 for price/performance aspect...
Guys, I understand that the 4890 was a better value but I didn't understand why the list put the 4890 over the gtx 275 and gtx 280.
Its faster in alot of games, but also loses in some games as well.
Not to mention that the 4890 takes a dump on the nvidia cards in 3dmark.
