is the 9800GX2 worth it?

im looking for some opinions, my friend wants to downgrade from a 9800GX2 so he offer me a trade+cash my 8800GTS 640 + 100cash for the 9800GX2 is it worth it? i seen them go for around 200+ on ebay Rep+

yeah, I'd say do it!

why does he want to downgrade?

yeah do it for sure! If you sold your card and bought a gx2 it would cost a lot more than $100 to make the difference. DO IT! He's getting a bad deal though.

he wants to downgrade since he doesn't game anymore and wants to sell it and just get a basic card and use the money for other things.... so its a no brainer right? lol ill go for it then... thanks averyone just wanted to make sure
From what I hear that card has mad microstutter issues.
Yeah, go for it. If you are gaming, I would sell the GX2 and get a GTX260 and save some money.
one more thing i wanted to ask.. you guys think its to much of a videocard for my current system ?

not at all!!!! you have a great system! In reality your cpu is barely any slower than a e8400. At 3.6ghz 24/7 (according to your sig) i doubt that would bottleneck any card.

Nah should be ok, make sure 700w psu has a 8-pin psu cable for the card. going to be awsome on your 32'' LCD
