how does the gtx 260/216 ssc perform?
is it worth the money?
i was going to get the gtx 285 BUt if i went for the gtx 285 i would have to go with a 19 inch monitor,

instead im thinking of getting a 23 inch acer, with the gtx 260.

how does it perform in games like cod4,crysis,l4d,far cry2
on max settings with 1980x1080?

Either way GTX 260 is good enough.

GTX 260 is THE BEST DEAL EVER! When overclocked it's better than a stock 280 and the 285 is a 280 built on 55nm which allows a slightly higher clock. For the price of one 285 which is like 8-10% better in performance than a single 260 you could get TWO 260 in SLI.

dude i had an evga gtx 260 core 216 and that thing o/c like a beast and was the best card i've ever owned! period, in gaming it was amazing, how amazing? well, like everything maxed at 1440x900 except crysis, but crysis with like 2xaa got like 50 fps. You'll enjoy that card on a new monitor, go for the acer dude!

got one of these...

playing @ 1280x1024 - yes an upgrade is due soon.

crysis is playing @50+fps on very high x2aa (not tried higher yet)
farcry 2 is amazing as well - all maxed out x4aa

well worth it at the prices you can get these cards for now..
i bought mine 2 days before they dropped.. gutted..
go for it.
