depends, benchmarking wise the i5 is superior, but for normal use, you wont notice much difference either way. They both overclock to about 4ghz, where the i5 gets a bigger lead. But there both good chips, the phenom is getting cheaper and is a great deal right now.

definitely faster in terms of benchmarking and bragging rights, but most users would be able to tell the difference in daily use
