Self explanatory question.

Is there a way to make neon lights for a computer work in a car when plugged into a cigarette lighter?

yep. Pretty easy too. Esp since cig light is 12v. Hmm....i may have to write a faq......but it's really easy. Get a cig lighter adaptor, set for continuity, and find out which wire goes to which contact. I think that the pin is positive and the clips are negative. You may not want to take my word for it. Just take your multimeter, and plave one end on the pin, and test either wire. When you have continuity, that is the one connecting to the pin. However, i don;t see why it wouldn't work if you did in fact reverse the polarity acidentally, since the CCFL tubes aren;t exactly highly engineered, sensitive pieces of equipment.

um, im not really good with electronics so you might have to post a FAQ, The neon light has a on off switch, would that matter?
