That tittle cant get more descriptive than that. I bought a vantec fan which is like a hair dryer in my case literally, i mean i though that my 8 previous fans made noise but this thing even my mom said "WHAT'S THAT? TURN IT DOWN, ITS TOO LOUD". And i would like to know if there a easy way to make a quick fan controller for that fan or if it is safe to connect it to the MB to controll it with a program or something. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I made a switch with an ON-ON switch, where one position was full speed and another had a 10 ohm resistor in series with the fan. Be sure to use a high-watt rated resistor because a lot of current flows to those fans because they are such high power. The resistor made the fan run at about half speed and it was much nicer to listen to, and still had good airflow. You could also use a potentiometer, but I don't know how exactly because those have too much resistance on average.
