If not, feel free to post suggestions!. This is for a webserver.

2x80GB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136195) RAID1 setup for everything but /home

2x500GB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136320) RAID0 setup for /home/

1x1.5TB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148337) for backing up both RAIDS. Yes, I know its not WD... WD 1.5 is sold out

Open to suggestions, but I think this is pretty good. Let me know if I'm making some mistake though

What's home?
home directory of a server i believe
Home is where all the user accounts are kept, including data such as desktop. In a server webserver environment it contains all the HTTP, FTP, MySQL and other data for clients.
Hmm, why would you run the 2 x 80GB in RAID1 if you're going to back it up anyways with the 1.5TB?

If I had no raid and the 80GB HDD failed, which would be the entire operating system, I would have a dead server. With two 80GB HDD's in RAID1, if one fails then the server stays up like nothing happened. Obviously I would have to re-add a second hard drive but it saves the hassle of having a couple hours or days of downtime depending on how long it would take for the datacenter to add in and reinstall the drives, and if they don't have it in stock then I would have to order it myself, and probably ship it there which could take up to half a week.

Basically, just saves me a lot of grief if the OS hard drive fails
