UPDATE
Holy ****... I feel like a total failure.
I replaced the CPU after being 100% sure that my problem was a fried cpu.
Here was my thread: http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...oss-q6600.html

I boot up this box and I'm still having the same issue D:
I now have: new cpu, new mobo, new ram, fairly new psu.
i have no clue what is going on :|

-----

After UPS f***ed up my delivery (was suppose to come yesterday)
It's finally here!

I will be posting more pictures (and some requested videos
)
Will probably also make how-to OC Q9550 on 780i with best results.

Enjoy my joy!

happy overclocking
Be sure to check out all the guides for OCing quads with Nvidia chipsets as it can be a real pain. It's a great chip though, I love mine!
Whats your goal overclocking wise? I know me and adrian are having a hell of a time getting past 470fsb....and it makes me rage ahah...damn my 780i.
Hah, I sold my Q9550+780i this week. It was a pain but I managed to push 504FSB on my 780i *Protip: You need lots of NB voltage*

I RMA'd my mobo 2 weeks ago.
I swapped my mushkin ram for BRAND NEW crucial ballistix tracers (2x 1GB) to test. Issue still persisted

I just got mine last week, just waiting on some thermal paste for it. It's a great chip.

Hey, maybe when we overclock we can compare the results on a P45 board vs. 750i.

EDIT: Ooooh, you're having trouble. When you get it working then! Also: try a different motherboard?
