My iTunes Media folder location has been set to: "/Volumes/Western Digital 4TB/iTunes Media" within my iTunes Advanced Preferences. I keep my media drive on my HTPC, so that I can view it from Plex on the TV and (hopefully) from my Yosemite computer too.
However, whenever I start up my computer running OSX Yosemite, and load up iTunes it has the iTunes Media Folder location set to it's default. When I click on Change and set it back to the 4TB drive on the network, it says "Updating Library" and takes a good few hours to do so each and every time.
Am I doing something wrong here? Is there any way to resolve this so that I can continue using my HTPC for the media folder location without this issue?
Thanks,
