[ITWorld] Fixing the "Black screen of death"

I just received this article in an e-newsletter I subscribe to. If you get a "Black screen of death", there's a company with a free fix. I haven't run into this problem before so I haven't tried the fix, but it's worth a shot if you run into it.

I had this, thought my mobo was dead but a reformat cleared it up.

This fix apparently tweaks some registry settings that sometimes get mis-set by Windows Update. So a reformat should definitely cure it as well.

I'm just saying that I was almost convinced it was a hw issue.
