Yo OC.net
I've just bought some sandpaper (Grit 180, 400, 800 and 1000)
I'd like to know how I excactly should lap my heatsink?
I know that I have to get some EXTREMELY flat material, and tape the sandpaper on it. How do I do then? Run in 8's? Back and forth?
Also, do I have to sand it wet, and if so how do I do that?

I prefer to use x amount ud strokes and rotate 90 degrees.
Do mark the surface with a blue or black magic marker, sand till almost all of it is gone then re mark and move to a finer grit. No need to remove all the marker indicator compleatly, the following grit will take care of that.
Some like the figure 8 method, both work work so long as you keep the HS flat and square.
