Hi...I'm new to overclocking but I believe I have the ability to do this. I'm well educated in computers and I could build a computer from scratch if I had to. But I don't understand how the FSB and CPU speed work together. I have a Jetway V266B motherboard with an AMD Athlon XP 2100+ chip running at 1.73GHz (standard). I'd like to know if it's safe to boost that to about 2 GHz or so. This motherboard can support up to an AMD Athlon XP 2600+ chip and I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to get THAT chip, and then overclock THAT (provided I have some hardcore cooling device, also something I'd like advice on). If anyone can help I'd be greatly appreciative. My BIOS has some kind of FSB/voltage regulator deal if that means anything. I'd also like to know if I have to change any jumpers. Thanks!
