We may not always have loved every one of his games or his hairstyles, but we wanted to take a moment to tip our hat to Dante, whose Devil May Cry series has reached the milestone of 10 million units shipped. For some perspective, 10 million pennies would make a six-foot by six-foot cube, a cube we imagined would be considerably larger and more impressive before we started doing the math.

When asked if he was choked up by the news, Dante said, "Devils never cry ... These tears, tears are a gift only humans have." Nero later chimed in unprompted that he was going to Disneyworld.

Heh - this was a great game. Glad it sold well. I just hated that Dante didn't have a bigger part.

Glad to hear the game sold well. It is a well optimized game.

and piracy was suppose to seriously hurt the sales...

seriously
The article says for the entire series. I don't think it is just DMC4.

Hrm - I guess its the entire series then.

Thats a tad bit sad then though right? I mean, RE5 just hit 4 million sales.
How does DMC not have more sales? I loved every single game immensely and so did everyone else that i know has touched it.
fun games. loved 1, 2 not so much, loved 3, and 4 (PC) is still sitting in its shrinkwrap on my desk haha.

i need to free up some gametime. always good to hear when a good series makes good sales.

now there needs to be another Shinobi game, or at least one with the Hotsuma character again. something so cool about that character, aside from the flowing 30ft scarf.

Four is the best yet. Unpack it now.

1 3 and 4 are all great. Never bothered with 2 based on reviews.
Loved first, cried on the second 'cause it was terribad, third was amazing, and fourth made me play it non-stop.

Besides, why would anyone do any piracy to this serie at least. The DMC1-2-3 box set costed me 30$, plus the fourth at like 50$? lol
DMC is a awesome game, i just guess that people thought it was a boring game just looking at the cover.

Yes that is quite sad for the whole series, Nemmy. I figured DMC did better sales numbers than that, RE5 alone will prolly hit close to 7-8 mil sales.

Actually I really liked 3 more. The story was better, young Dante was like FTW, Vergil was just kickass, and the gameplay felt better for some reason.

I thought 4 was very good overall though. I just hated the whole Raiden MGS2 type thing they pulled and they offered no insight on why or who Nero really was.

Dante's son i believe. Mainly i believe this because of something Dante said. "This sword has to stay in the family" Then he hands it to Nero without contradicting that. Plus Dante is getting old now, and Trish has been with him for a while.

Am I the only one completely caught off guard by Capcom's recent success? With DMC doing well, SF4 and RE5 just releasing and doing phenomenal, and Lost Planet 2 and Dead rising 2 due next year, they are really doing well, and will be for the next couple of years.
