No problem whatsoever. Once I hit that power button, she just booted right up! All parts are in sig!

Here's my pantyhose filter mod I posted 2 days ago in case you missed it

I swear it took me at least 5 tries to apply the thermal paste (yes perfectionist). That was probably the hardest part. Cable management was fun. By the way, the tower sounded like a mini vacuum cleaner out in the open, but when I put it under the table, it's tolerable. I might get a fan controller in near future though. We'll see.

Looks incredible, mate!

Gonna upgrade that GPU any time soon? Loving the pantyhose air filters, by the way!

So, time for you to start OCing and benching I assume?

lol I knew I would get commented on that. I really don't need to upgrade the GPU yet, but when I do, I'll let you know. Hoping to find a cheap 8800gtx and do SLI just to experience it, but we'll see...

Anyways, the core temp is ~30 as of now. I'm still transferring stuff from my old HDD via ethernet cable and it's going to take ~6 hours (yes lots of complications). I'll be aiming for 4 Ghz after that though

done!

Yea I was going to wait for Noctua NH-D14 to be in stock, but mega was on sale for $51.99.
I was really surprise by the RAM clearance though. I thought it would rest on the RAM.

Very nice rig friend! hehe pretty similar to mine

I too did the panty-hoe mod, but I opted for just putting them over the fans themselves. Did the panty-hoes rip when you put the screws in? I had to try several times before I could get them all tight without ripping.

I poked holes where screws would go in before putting the fan on, so no tear here. I'll probably redo it next time around now that I'm more familiar with the mod. If not pantyhose, I'll probably go with fly/mosquito screen.

I noticed you have the almighty 8800gtx as well. When are you upgrading? I don't mind paying the shipping if you'll donate it

EDIT: LMAO, I even ziptied the fan on there like that as well.
Grats, glad it all went smoothly.

lol.. nah that 8-pin was a breeze.

About that ziptie, it took me about 10 minute to figure out that bottom zip tie was blocking top fan from spining (the notch where 2 zip tie joined was blocking). I was stumped because I tested all the fan before, and they were all fine.

good times..

I lied there not the exact same waty tied, I used 5 or 6 of them to make a big one and just tied it around the fan in the middle and yanked it tight. If you can post a CPUID HW monitor pic so I can compare temps to yours.
