Just got a Antec 300 and need some help

I recently bought a Antec 300 case from Microcenter because my current case was in dire need of retirement
. I have a couple questions about this thing: First off, should I setup the 140mm fan as an intake or an exhaust? Will cutting off all of the fan grills improve cooling and maybe reduce noise? If so by how much? Thanks for the help!

1. Keep 140mm as exhaust.
2. Yes, removing grills should make a noticable difference in noise and performance
keep exhaust

its nice to have a grill ontop for safety ha ha
i will tell u the noise will be less but i dont know about perf
It helps a lot if you can soft mount the fans. That 140mm fan vibrates a bunch. That vibration is a much bigger issue than the air turbulence noise from the fan grate.
For sure cut the grills out on the front, since they'er covered by mesh anyways.

Also keep the top vent exhaust since heat rises it will help the immensely in keeping your case cool.

Bingo.

I'd cut the Tri-cool fans down to low speed.

And try to make it so that top 140mm does not vibrate the case as much as it does when stock.

Rubber mounting screws work really well.
