Just got my AD700's in

Haven't even used them yet. But I opened the box and noticed that the honeycomb shelling on the sides are purple/pink! What's up with this? Does anyone else have any colored AD700's?

Ya that is what color they are, you will not care when you hear how good they are.
I have a pair, and the sound great, don't worry about the color.

I am surprised you didn't look at a picture of what you were buying.

The AD700s are supposed to be that color. You can swap out the grilles for the ones from the AD500 but that'll cost you the price of the AD500 unless some willing soul would rather have pink than silver.

i heard zalmaan makes a good one

I use the zalman clip, it is a good mic. They are so cheap on xoxide you can probably buy 2 or 3 just in case.

I noticed myself that in most of the pictures everything appear black or perhaps dark blue. As mentioned though, I think you will completely forget the color once you hear the excellent sound.
