yep that's what i plan on doing... there are various ways to do it, but the easiest way is to use electrical tape.. not very efficient but does the job..

and butt connectors? hmmm never heard of em.

where do you get those from , i just bought the onkyo s6300 at amazon for 486 . i was gonna do seperate but the receiver alone was 400 bucks so i pay 86 more for the 7 speakers , i need some 16gauge later , was thinking home depot or something

maybe 10-20'.... the lowest monoprice has is 50', but it's still fairly cheap
