The M4 is way too slow so unless it has some magical properties i dont think i want it. But i put it in just in case, i like the vertex 3 120gb, but if two agilities in RAID are better ill take those.

I think you should actually research these drives' performance. The m4 is not slow.

The m4 was never slow.
Single 128GB m4 gets my vote.

I picked up the M4 128GB for my laptop earlier this week, just installed it last night.
Amazing increase in performance, will never look back to HDDs anymore! (Besides storage)
Check out my score after tweaking abit.

My M4 is crazy ridiculous fast.

It has the magical property of facilitating a ~12 second boot from power button to desktop

I think it's safe to say that by now, you know that the M4 is not slow and is a popular SSD. Just in case, another vote for the M4 from me. I actually have 2 of them, 128GB for my PC and 256GB for my laptop.

I'm guessing OP is only calling the m4 "slow" because its sequential R/W speeds are slightly lower than, say, a SandForce-based drive. (4K) random read/write is much more important for an OS/boot drive.

Here's another vote to the m4. I love my 256GB version.

Precisley. I am not that versed in SSD's so im not exactly sure whats good for what. My boot time is already 10 - 15 sec so if an SSD cant beat tat then i dont want it. But how would the vertex 3 compare to the M4, it looks faster. And what about dual 60gb RAID0?

What makes the M4 so good?

Benches 505 with imaginary data made up in Atto. Won't in the real world.

My vertex 3 max iops and intel 520 bench that high in Atto as well. But hit them with a real bench like as-ssd and it's a more realistic 200

Welcome to the real world of "incompressible data" Your drive does well with "compressible date though.

That 929 score looks pretty good. 4K scored looked a little odd. But great results.

O.P: If you really want something fast. Go grab a OCZ Revodrive 2 X3 240GB pci-express sdd then. But as mentioned the M4 is fast indeed. Thanks

My budget isnt that high, i dont feel like donating a kidney for 3 sec less boot times

So would the M4 be faster than all the other drives? Even V3? Im pretty convinced now that i want an M4 because it gives me 8 more gb.
