LMAO me Ultra hits 100C sometimes, gives me a constant headache just worrying about the temps.

If the 295 keeps less than 85C I'll be very happy.

Well I ran the furmark extreme burn test on my 295 when i got it yesterday and the cores maxxed at 97C and 95C with the fan on auto (was about 80% fan speed, which is loud as hell). I think I'm going to order the backplate and reapply the TIM.

Not true

My X2 ran ~10°c cooler than my 295 does, with auto fan control.
Manual fan control as well, 45% would keep my X2 below 75°c.
It takes 65% to keep my 295 below 80°c.

Have to agree with grunion here. I haven't personally used a 4870X2, but I find it hard to believe that another card could actually run hotter and have a louder fan than the 295.

My bad. Anyways Iam a bit of an Nvidia fan.


Just hope I don't get that microstuttering issue everyones on about.
