But I'm a big nub! I don't know what SMP is I think I have the GPU folding client loaded only. I want to help out but all this reading + college makes my head hurt, someone sum it up for me, thanks.

Welcome aboard!

GPU uses your graphics card to do the computations (and a little bit of your CPU to control things). SMP uses your CPU only, and can keep it at 100% loading during idle times.

Both can be downloaded from this page: http://folding.stanford.edu/English/DownloadWinOther.

SMP setup is explained here: http://www.overclock.net/overclock-n...ml#post3475165.

I'm an Nvidia fanboy, so I'll let someone else explain your ATI card with GPU. Don't worry, someone will be along in a few minutes. That's how OCN works!

Again, welcome aboard, and thanks for your support!

So SMP doesn't work for vista 64bit yet?

*other notes*
5.92 does not currently support 64-bit Windows. This is something we will work on in the future.

How do I use [email protected]?

Yes it does. That's an older guide, but it is still pretty good. I am running SMP on Vista 64, so if it doesn't work, someone forgot to tell my computer.
