Don't watch the viewer while folding. It will drop your productivity. You need to set FAHmon up with a client before it will show. Add client and name it whatever you want. Browse to your folding folder when the box comes up. And choose that as your target and it should show up. You may need to click the download new projects on fahmon to see your production.

You got it...

As far as turning it off, just right click on the icon in your tray and choose quit.

Will it continue with the same workunit if i close it and continue in say 6 hours when the computer has been turned off?

Yes, it will continue the work unit unless it's past the due date. If that's the case, then it will download a new WU.

Also, you can pause the client by right clicking the try icon and clicking "Pause Work". You can resume work the same way. I do that when I'm gaming and it works just fine.

Sometimes Fallout 3 crashes after I've been folding for awhile without a reboot...but Fallout 3 is pretty unstable to begin with.

Yes anything that uses your gpu will take away from your production, but don't sweat it too much.
