My current keyboard (Eclipse II) is getting a little old, and generates enough clicking noise that it drives my wife up the wall.
Suggestions on a new keyboard that won't ever make that kind of noise, no matter how old? If that's not possible, at least one that starts out quiet and takes a while to get louder. I'm open to mechanical keyboards or anything else out there. Gaming keyboards...I can take em or leave em, though I do like backlighting. That's what drew me to to the Saitek Eclipse line. Not any keyboard have the ability to switch between colors, which as silly as it sounds has become pretty important to me -- red when the lights are out and blue when the lights are on.
Okay...not that important. There aren't many options out there with multiple backlighting colors.
Was considering a Deck, but I'm not sure how loud the various mechanical keyboards are and the otherwise wonderful mech kb guide at the top of the forum doesn't say. Unless by "Clicky" it means "loud"?
Thanks
