If it's a repost, sorry.

We learned several months ago that the original Call of Duty, now under the name of "Call of Duty Classic," would be making its march onto the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade. And more recently, we learned that it would be available for free to those who purchase the Modern Warfare 2 Hardened and Prestige Editions.

Well, there is good news and bad news on that front. The good, clearly, is that you too will have the opportunity to get Call of Duty Classic. The bad news is, you're going to have to wait for it.

"Prestige and Hardened Edition buyers will be getting access to Call of Duty: Classic first," Community Manager Robert Bowling told IGN. "It'll eventually be coming out for both Xbox Live Arcade and PSN as a stand-alone arcade game."

"However," he added, preparing to deliver more bad news, "price and release date are unknown at this point." But on the upside, he assures everyone that "It's the true original Call of Duty including full multiplayer."
