Called simply "AION Vision", it shows sweeping visual upgrades to the game, along with a battle sequence that MMO fans could only dream of. There's even a Shadow of the Colossus cameo.

Too bad my sub ran out last week. The game was a brutal grind fest. I'm just sucking it up and waiting for SWToR

Wow... thats a HUGE difference, like a completely different game.

To bad graphics don't make the game. I can play wow 12hrs/day.. but not Aion, it got boring after a few days.

I'm MMO-Free atm, they cause to much stress.
Havent seen the grinding parts yet but I know they are coming. Grinding just leads to burn out and quiting. I log in every other day kill a few mobs do a few quest's kill a few Asmo's then log out.

Mage is 30, cleric is 30, Templar is 44... the grind is there for sure. I for one think that I just lost interest in MMOs...

Warhammer Online FTW lol

No stress there muahaha

-- Yah They BETTER upgrade the Graphics of Aion, otherwise its just ANOTHER POS MMO from a Country that I might get yelled at if I say the name.

Anyway, the game looks liek guild wars....... Its stupid boring, the character creation is rediculous and no matter what you do your character still look ******ed.

Warhammer for the win, my Alliance pwns all, and the people who left for Aion, were soo ashamed they slowly, quietly, started logging back onto there Warhammer characters, after yelling at us for months about how awesome Aion was...

That looks amazing, even if it wasn't a MMO it looks amazing. Too bad I'm quite positive that would rape my system many times over. Would have to play at 800x600 to get playable frames.

Edit: Did they port it to CryEngine 2? (or 3) It has the looks of CE2.

I am guessing that they ported the game to CryEngine 3

Aion and WoW are no where near the same. I'm not going to go into a 20 page paragraph on how they are different but it's easy to see.

Aion = More PVP Focus, More Grind/Less Quests, Group-Focused Questing, Most content geared towards Hardcore Players.
WoW = More PVE Focus, Less Grind/More Quests, Solo-Focused Questing, Most content geared towards Casuals.

Both are good games, and both will suck the life out of you if you let them. I enjoy PVE much more than PVP, so Aion got boring very quickly for me after about level 30.

That's not true at all. I spend maybe 5 minutes creating my character, and it's meh. My wife on the other hand, will spend longer on that damn character creation screen than she does on the 'noob island', her characters are stunning... Or were, rather; we quit because of the grinding that was involved. I'll probably pick this game up for at least a month again once this is released. Hopefully they fixed templars

I'll run it...but I notice that you can finally swim...lol
Sweet god! That looks like an awesome upgrade!
I hope it will end up close to that pretty soon.

Grinding is part of MMO, cheap way to get you addicted to it.

Even games that are said to not feature, feature it somehow, like EVE loooong training times.

I dream of games for people something important to do (ie Can't spend their whole day and week playing it) and have a nice MMO environment.
Aion is a good game, people who say it's a grind fest it's mostly because they can't get a group and run instances. Try avoiding instances in wow and let me know if you have enough quest? Or get your rep up and let me know if it ain't a grind.

43 Spiritmaster here.

Amazing avatar btw. But I have to disagree about the 'grind fest' I came from Lineage 2, so I've witnessed true grind at it's finest. This game, coming from L2, is much much easier. Coming from an easy game like WoW, it's much harder. And some people just can't do the grind.

I'm only level 32, and haven't experienced as much of this ONLY because I am not in a rush to level or get to endgame. Yesterday I gained a half of a level finishing up some old Morheim quests with friends. Today I am going to finish up to 33, then quit leveling for a while. Gonna gather some herbs, make some potions. Level my armorsmithing up to 299. Level my alt a little bit and just generally hang out with friends and mix things up a little.

Doing the same thing over and over will be boring. Getting friends and mixing things up are key. Not to mention, this is VANILLA AION. It's just the beginning. Most people are coming here from a well established polished/finished game expecting the same. It will grow, but for now... the game is new. If it came out with everything they ever planned on putting into it, it would not live out a healthy lifespan. They are planning a major update every 6 months. I for one, can't wait for this update. Everything is just so amazing looking.

Ahhh well, this looks nice, but FFXIV will be here on 2010 and will leave this to the dust.

A PS3 Port is going to leave Crytek 3 engine in the dust?
