So I'm looking for a new laptop for school, movies/music, and light gaming.

My priorities so far:
  • Portability - 13", 14", 15"
  • Battery Life
  • C2D 2.0Ghz+
  • 3GB Ram +
  • Discreet Graphics
  • LED Backlit
  • Vista
  • Under $1000!!
I admittedly don't know too much about the different laptop brands outside of the panasonic and dells that my company uses.
I'm also trying to buy off of ebay to take advantage of the MS 25% cashback.

Here is what I've come up with thus far. The prices are before the 25%.

Lenovo T400, 14", 2.26Ghz, 2GB DDR3, Radeon 3450 256mb, 1440x990 LEDlit, 6cell bat
$1099
This is at the very top of my budget but it has switchable graphics between the 3450 and integrated intel. Best compromise of graphics and battery life?

Dell XPS M1330, 13", 2.2Ghz, 4GB DDR2, Nvidia 8400M 128MB, 1280x800, 6cell
$899
Good price, good size. I like the 13" laptops

Dell Studio 15, 15", 2.1Ghz, 4GB DDR2, Radeon 3450 256MB, 1440x990 LED, 6 cell.
$799
It's almost bigger than I really want. I've had 15inchers before and would like smaller. It's the cheapest and looks like the best value though.

Any opionions guys? Am I going the wrong way with this and should just get integrated graphics? How does vista run with integrated?

Thanks for any help

Either dell is what I would go for. I wouldn't get a laptop from any other manufacturer. Both are great laptops, and I wouldn't mind the extra space with the Studio, but the XPS is also a nice lappy. Either way I would go Dell.
