I am posting here to request help with fixing my laptop as a friend suggested I try here. Hopefully someone can help me out

Ok so I my laptop originally had windows 7 installed, I stumbled across something called iATKOS which allowed me to install Mac OSX (which I had been looking to try out for a while) on my windows laptop. I was eager to try it out, so I downloaded it and burnt it to a disc. I then tried to install it on my laptop by following some online instructions, and I (foolishly) tried to install it on my C:\\ drive, thus replacing Windows.

However, for whatever reason, whenever I turn on my laptop, it takes me to the Mac loading screen, quickly flashes up with the apple logo and then takes me to a black screen where it seems to freeze. I have tried re-installing it but it seems to make no difference.

Now, whenever I try to boot from a windows 7 disc to re-install the operating system, even after setting CD drive to priority in BIOS, the laptop tries to boot from the hard drive and will not boot from the disc. I am unsure what to do and at the moment my laptop is completely dysfunctional, and without it I am lost.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks.

You should be able to boot from the Windows CD, I don't see why you can't.
When you install Hackintosh, it doesn't do anything to your BIOS etc.

That cannot be possible. If you manually selected the optical drive to be the first device, then it will boot to it as long as your Windows Installation disc is in the drive. If for whatever reason it is not reading the disc, then it will cause the hard drive to be booted. Check to make sure you set the boot order properly or try hitting the hot key associated with bringing up the menu which allows you to select the boot device. This should be done while the computer is posting. Also make sure that you press a key when it asks you to press a key in order to boot from the installation disc.

It's against the rules.

He is merely explaining what caused the initial problem.
