yes it will last the longest and it has much higher clocks and better/newer core... and since it will be the last agp card might as well get the best so it lasts a good 3-4 yrs!

and might i add that the 6800gs and 7800gs have SM3.0.... makes games all the prettier! x850 does not have it...

I say go for the 7800GS. It is a little faster than the x850xt (nothing that you will notice right away) and is newer tech. It should do well for at least a few years.

I also say go for the 7800GS. It is one last "hurrah" for the AGP slot. Its definaltely the best AGP card out there.

thats true... but i dont think they will be making a DX10 agp card... and the new DX10 cards when they come out will cost an arm and a leg! so for us guys with agp slots... the 7800gs is our last hope before being forced to upgrade to PCI-e

well if u can get a 6800ultra then get that it beches better then the 7800gs even when the 7800gs oced to 475/1200 and the ultra at 460/1200 the my ultra benches better than the gs and the testing computer of the gs had better specs then mine

Just bought the 7800GS...I'll keep you posted whether its a disappointment or not
