I am slowly starting to part together my new rig I have been waiting months for currently, and am curious about the Latency timings of one kit vs. another and the effects it has on the overall computer experience.

K, now, from what I understand concerning the matter it's always been the lower the latency the faster it is to respond/communicate. With that theory, (if correct), why would I want to buy the same manufactures 9-9-9-20 vs. 8-8-8-24 vs. their 7-7-7-20 if the prices are the exact same? ( +- $35 ) I imagine there has to be some other variables involved with this type of decision than timings alone? THX for the help/clarification as always OCN.

With such a small difference in price, the DDR3 1600 is the best deal.

I wouldn't even consider the CL9 1333 unless there is evidence they use superior chips.

I'd get the ddr3 1600 because of the increased bandwidth and only being ~$15 more.
