I was talking about for his clock of 265, I wouldn't go over 2.7. It's not necessary, it should do that speed with 2.6v.
I myself haven't dared to put 2.9v into my TCCD, too much voltage and most tests show it to have a negative effect.
I was correcting you on not thinking the OCZ EL will run 265 2.5-3-3-6 1T.

That memory should be able to run close to 290mhz 1T 2.5-3-3-6. So this leads me to believe, you are setting something wrong.
Read more overclocking guides

no iam sure not setting anything wrong. First i updated the BIOS so it will work on optys. Then started overclocking.

Multiplayer is x11

FSB 268mhz

HTT x3

Vcore 1.55v

Memory Max Clock ***333mhz***

Vdimme 2.85v

Pci synchronization mode 33.33ghz

*** current timings***

2.5-3-3-7

what is wrong in that ? i even had to reset the BIOS just in case i changed a number by mistake and reoverclocked with ur method it hangs in post.

Well this sux this is wat i found and no wonder why i wasnt able to run ddr400

Code:
Code:
Those sticks use Infineon IC's and they do not OC like the rest of the Platinum line. 210-220 depending on the board at 2.5-3-3 or 3-3-3 is about it. More than 2.7V with these just makes them unhappy
Now iam going to start to look for new timings for this cheap ram :S

Sounds like you have some Hynix chips. You should be able to squeeze 230 mhz out of them with 2.5 3 2 6 1T at 2.8 volts.

Hum but which is better

2.5-3-3-7 2t with 2.85v and divider of 333mhz with 268 fsb

or

2.5 3 2 6 1T at 2.8 volts ( no divider of course ) with 230fsb is that correct?

the ram has nothing to do with you hitting 3ghz. the ram wont limit your overclock in any way.
RMA your sticks asap. You paid good money for the TCCD chips, and you got some junk that should cost $50 less. Get the correct memory.
