I instlled windows 7 on my Latitude D505 and I can't get the video resolution about 640x480, I've tried googling solutions but none of them seem to work or the links are dead. Anyone know of a solution?
Dell has a driver site that normally would fix the issue but it doesn't appear there are Windows 7 drivers for this model. You need to get the video driver to fix the issue from what I can tell which means right now you have default vga driver. I'd contact Dell or maybe look up your graphics chipset, maybe a standalone somewhere.
Thats an old laptop. You won't find drivers for Win7. Only other option would be to install a modern Linux distro if you want it to run at native res.
