We recently bought a new Sanyo 42" LCD HDTV model# DP42410. I'm having trouble with the picture quality. It looks "grainy" and "pixeled" or blocky. I've tried different settings but the picture quality is bad. For regular TV, i have Comcast cable with the coaxial cable coming from the wall straight to the TV( no box or anything) and the info button says it's in 480i definition but the quality is bad, the colors just seem off. Watching DVD's seem really bad as far as the grainy, pixeled look. It's not sharp or crisp looking at all. The DVD player(which isn't that old) is connected to the TV via HDMI cable and say's it's in 1080i def. but it doesn't look it at all. I even hooked my PC to it via the HDMI cable and even watching DVD's though the PC has the same bad look. When viewing my desktop on the TV it does look good and the TV info says it's in 1080P def. Our old TV was a plasma TV which was only a couple of years old but looks alot better than this. This is our first LCD TV and I'm not sure what i was expecting but this is horrible quality. Can someone give me some info on this?

update: Some of the problem i was having had to do with my DVD player apparently going bad or something. I used my 360 to play dvd's and the quality improved a bit but i still didn't like the quality. In the end, i took the TV back and got a Samsung 51" Plasma TV and a new DVD/BR player!

All Comcast offers in my area is basic cable, no HD box or upgrade in service available.
