Live.php in that form is indeed gone, but the same functionality is present (and expanded on) in the activity feed that you've linked. Make sure you've unticked 'Subscriptions Only' and only select 'Forums', and it should just Live.php would have. For one, is the standard live.php feature gone for good?
And the other thing I was curious about was if it was possible to remove the time stamp from the posts in the new "live feed" or at least change the format of it.
