Quick question on adding products to the database. I added the SCYTHE Mugen 2 SCMG-2100 but can't seem to figure out how to add details. Got the description, but wanted to add individual details like size/weight, etc. Under the "Details" tab, it isn't allowing me to add anything. I click "New Row" and the only thing I can then change is the "Value" column. The "Detail" column has a drop down list but nothing is in there and you cannot manually add to it. If you try to save with something in the Value box and nothing in the Detail, it will just revert and not add anything. I am probably missing something simple, but this is bugging me that I cannot add any details. Any advice or is this some known issue?

Edit: I noticed all other products, that already have Details added, you can choose from a variety of things in the drop down box in the Detail column. All these options are not available on a new product added. Is there a way to manually add items to the drop down list? As it is now, the only thing you can select is "Choose" in the drop down list for "Detail".

When I view a thread the left side of the page seems to indent and I lose half an inch of viewing space for the whole page.

The site doesn't render properly at all under Opera Mini (running on Android 2.2). It either presents the page zoomed out, where the entire page is crammed into about 100 pixels, or it zoomed in, it only shows half a post, with no horizontal scroll. That's with the phone horizontal, it doesn't show anything while zoomed in if the phone is vertical (blank screen, no scroll)

On my work PC, I'm finding it much more RAM hungry than the old site, to the point that I'm actually in the swap file (admittedly, it's only got 1Gb, and I'm on IE8). However, much like the new Facebook (which isn't that new anymore, lol), I know it's here to stay, so I'll just have to get used to it I guess

They way i used OCN was pretty simple. i showed up i clicked usercp and i saw which of the threads i was subscribed to that had recently had a reply to since last viewed. how do i do this again. personally right now im finding it very difficult to use OCN. I have been giving a crap load of features i dont want or need or even think are helpful in my own forum experience with OCN. then had everything that i found useful and friendly taken away and either removed or hidden. so basically im looking for a way to only show the most recent subscriptions that have had a post added to it and to auto subscribe to any new thread that i post in with out sending me a god damn email.

Top right, under your PMs should be a "Subscriptions" button. Then go to the "Threads" tab (don't worry; it remembers which tab you're on, so from now on it'll go to that tab by default".

It currently shows all threads (read and unread), though enough people asked for it to be filtered that a chance is expected soon. :thumb:

As for auto unsub, "My Profile"> "Edit account settings"> Change to "Site only (no email)".

Scroll down in your User Profile. In the Signature editing section, click edit and you can put two more 'items' down there.

Never got a reply back on my adding a new product to the database problem. Anyone have any idea? It seems that if the product isn't listed and you have to manually add it, you can't add any details to it, only description. The drop down box list is empty, you can only add to the "Value" field and you cannot save a new detail with the "Detail" field left blank. You only have one option and that is a blank detail, so you cannot save it. All products already in the database have a huge list of things you choose from in the drop down list under Details. Do you have to manually add the entries for the details drop box in html or something? If so, I don't see a way of doing it, no manual edit anywhere for that field as far as I can tell. It is a pretty big bug, if it is a bug at all, may just be an incomplete feature or possibly only admins have the rights to add a new item to the details drop down box list. Would like some clarification from someone that knows the system under the hood.

Edit: Here is a screenshot of a new item added manually and the "Add New Row" options you get(nothing) for Details. The second is an already existing item and how many things you see. I want to know how to get those things to show up in the drop down list like the second picture.

All of the images should have made it over in the transition. You may want to PM Chipp to see where they may have gone. I know the gallery will be getting some changes in the future though I have no idea what they will be...

on a side note. where is the "top" button at the bottom of each page. its such a pain in the ass to scroll up to the top after scrolling down 100 post per page.

also is there a setting for performance. i know when the update first went through it was stilling doing something and that was the excuse for the slow response of the site. However, it still feels very very very sluggish. how can we have a forum for the pursuit of performance that runs so slow.

Have a read through the Subscriptions section of the Site Features guide in my signature.. It explains all about it and where to find the option to show only newly updated threads. The Top button is called Home on your keyboard.

Setting your posts per page down to 50 or lower can help loading times and performance as well if you need the extra boost.
