Hi all,

Does anyone know of an article explaining how the old crossfire worked? I wasn't old enough to be an "enthusiast" at the time and this seems to have escaped me. I understand you needed a master card and a crossfire card but could the be used individually? What were the technical limitations at the time?

Thanks.

Legacy Crossfire? Is that Crossfire where you used some card like a 4890 + a 4870 or a 5870 + a 5850?

No, I believe that's called CrossFireX. I'm talking about needing something like a x800 card and then you needed a special x800 crossfire edition.
