I have a laptop (Lenovo Legion Y520-15IKBN) and I want to overclock the monitor's refresh rate, for gaming purposes. It is currently at 60 Hz, but I want to bump it up to 75 Hz. Native resolution is at 1920x1080.
After a search online, I have downloaded the CRU Utility, which allows me to add custom resolutions and refresh rates for my laptop. I added 65,70,75,77,80 Hz in both 1080p and 900p resolutions. Restarted my laptop and tried to change the refresh rate through the monitor's properties.
However, as soon as I change the refresh rate even on the lowest increase, the screen becomes...Weird.
I think it's called "Artifacts". I don't know how to solve this and I would like some help.
