Hi,

I recently picked up a used LGA 1366 board for cheap and am looking to grab a used Xeon to go along with it. This build will be used mostly as an extra LAN machine with possibly some media transcoding on the side. Video card for now isn't anything special, maybe a GTX 650.

I'm interested in these 3 models:

Intel Xeon E5520 @ 2.27GHz (4881)
Intel Xeon E5530 @ 2.40GHz (4700)
Intel Xeon W3520 @ 2.67GHz (4070)

CPU Benchmark lists them in that order according to performance, however I'm wondering how accurate those benchmarks are. Their clock speeds go in the opposite direction, and I'm wondering if gaming and desktop performance might benefit more from the higher clock speed. I'm also wondering how overclockable each model is. I do plan on overclocking some, but nothing crazy.

Not really interested in a 920 or i7 because I can get ahold of these for much cheaper ($50-$75 ballpark).

Any light you guys can shed would be appreciated!
