LGA 775 (E8400) - Best HSF? TRUE? What else do I need to order?

I've done some searching and it looks like a couple of different heatsink/fans are recommended:

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
XIGMATEK Dark Knight-S1283V
OCZ Vendetta 2
Noctua NH-U12P

Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme CPU Cooler (why doesn't NewEgg carry this??)

The "TRUE" seems to be the most highly recommended so I'm leaning towards that one but I have a few questions:

1) I have a P5B Deluxe motherboard and an Intel E8400 CPU. Is the TRUE the best air cooling option?

2) What is the difference between the "black" TRUE and the normal TRUE?

3) Do I need a mounting/backing plate?

4) Do I need to order a fan with the TRUE? If so, which one?

5) Do any east coast sellers carry the TRUE? Nevermind. Xoxide is located just a few hours from my house

6) Can I order a pre-lapped TRUE? I'm not going to spend time lapping it myself.

Thanks for any help!

1. The TRUE is "generally" regarded as the most efficient HSF you can get. But rivals include the Noctua or the new Xig Thor Hammer looks another alternative
2. I never look to disagree with others but i have found people think the Black is maybe 1/2*C worse performing than the Original (because of the funky nickle coating)
3. The Black comes with one, but yes you'll want one (especially if you lap it)
4. I've seen the Scythe Ultra Kaze recc alot on here 120mmx38mm fan. All depends on your noise tolerance levels though. If you can find one i believe the San Ace 1011 is the doggies danglies
5. Dunno

6. Answered above and beyond my knowledge sir.

Spend a little extra on something you'll never sit there and say "maybe i should get a better cooler", just get a TRUE!

you may need better nb cooling.
Thanks again for all of the replies. I ended up ordering a TRUE Black with paid lapping service from CrazyPC so we'll see how it turns out.

What kind of northbridge cooling solution would I need for a P5B Deluxe motherboard?

Also, I'm not 100% sure that I'll need one because I'll be going over the 400 FSB strap so I think at 3.8 GHz my northbridge will actually be SLOWER than a 3.4 or 3.6 GHz overclock but I'm not sure...
I don't know how much CrazyPC charge for lapping, but what you don't get to see is how flat the base is out of the factory. I bought the TRUE Black and a HR-05 SLI NB Cooler and when they arrived the base of the TRUE was fantastic. I'm just going to use a high sandpaper to 'buff' up the base a bit.

So you probably would have got a NB cooler for the price of the lapping. If you find you have stability problems and someone suggests adjusting your NB volts, you'll be wishing you had that cooler because it runs HOT. At least get a Panaflo 40mm fan and put it on the stock to help it out. Only a coulpe of $$ i'm sure.
