If you're planning to keep the mobo for awhile then yes... Get it with as much new tech as possible.

That choice would be comparable to getting a GeForce FX5950 Ultra or a 6800Ultra, if you want something to last, I would say get a 6800Ultra cause it supports newer drivers and it's a new core

(oh, and also cause it's the best vid card around

)
