Aye just wanted to see who is using a 775 cpu ATM, i have one and i have been told that these CPUs are outdated massively. So yeah just tell me about your rig and what 775 CPU your using.
They still have alot of life left I just picked up a e1200 celeron dual core.Originally Posted by srsdude;13006556
they're pretty old (core 2 duos and core 2 quads), but many people still use them and they're still fast enough for most modern applications
I meant to say that Quads have alot of life left.Originally Posted by joemunky;13006618
I wouldn't say a dual core LGA775 has alot of life in them
A good few quad core chips are still fighting fit though, although mine will be replaced this year I think

I have a c2d E6400 non-overclocked and it's starting to show its age, especially in demanding applications and in games too, even if it's able to run most of the games out now. For office/internet use or watching hd videos it's still perfect and will probably last me years as a second rig.
