It's kinda ugly but its Lian Li and the features are great. I guess the only reason I'm still considering the Antec 902 is the looks. Both are dual intake but I think the Lian Li gets the nod in exhaust flow and cable management as well as a bunch of other features. I'm searching for dual intake mid-towers with good cable management that might easily handle basic water cooling, for around $100. Whatta you guys think? Consider that I'll be using an H70 or a Rasa RS240 kit, but thats another debate...

The Lian Li's looks are growing on me. I saw your thread debating full or mid and I've been considering an Antec 1200 but the RMA horror stories (build quality) plus the fact that I would have to rearrange furniture to actually put it in my house have put me off.

This will be my first enthusiast level case purchase and I'm thinking I cant go wrong with the Lian Li, everybody raves about their ergonomics, quality, etc. I'm coming from a no-name case that I bought from Amazon years ago that I've since hack-job modded a window onto and a slew of other home-brew junk. This is going to be the foundation for an AM3+ build, but possibly a Sandy Bridge if Bulldozer proves to be lackluster, and I want it to be nice. I'm finally earning the money I need to treat myself so I'm taking my time on this one.

I'm searching around trying to find out the best way to squeeze an RS240 rad into that K63.

One review I read suggested that a 240 rad may fit under the top cover or even behind the front cover, or in front of the HDD cages. Would be sweet if it would fit under that top cover, then I could just swap out the existing fans and save a bunch of space.

Only real competition to Lian Li in the mass produced (and I use that term veeery loosely) category is Silverstone. Fractal is close, but not quite there.

There are no silverstone cases that fight with LL. Only real contenders are HAF 922 (if you can stand the industrial look) and the CM 690 II advanced.

I would vote for the Lancool case. I have the Antec 300 and I've looked at other Antec cases and they're not the best for cable management. Their airflow is pretty good but the Lancool is not that far behind. I love the cable management and the build quality of the Lancool but I personally think the K63 is kind of ugly with the oddly shaped front and side window.

The pics are my current set up and my old one :]

Are you crazy? the OP wants cases around the $100 dollar mark.

Why on earth are you suggesting $200 cases?

Oops missed that sorry.

The define R3 is only $100~ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352002&cm_re=fractal_define_r3-_-11-352-002-_-Product

depending on colour you get.

But yeh sorry. I think the 902's ok as well, but Antec cases aren't the greatest, not bad, just not great. Never built with Lian Li and they have a great reputation, although I think that case the OP posted is a little ugly.

Define R3 would be my recommendation.

You know what.

Might as well go for this

http://www.overclock.net/cases/968927-rocketfish-aluminum-case.html

it will beat every other case at this price point, it's ridiculous. I would swoop it up, but i already got a v2000.

Top fits rads perfectly- with cutting though, bottom too. nice management holes, aluminum. btw, it's a rebranded Lian Li- the father company of lancool

I would go with K63 I just ordered it last night. Removeable HD cage, better cable mangement. The 902 has better stock cooling, Lian Li fans dont move enough air for me but Im gonna replace of fans anyway.

Some very good arguments have been made, many of them relevant and forefront in my own mind.

The HAF line has indeed proven to be a little too industrial for my tastes. The Fractal R3 has definately been a contender at various times for me, the biggest pros with that one being the noise blocking features and excellent cable management design. However, their are numerous customer reviews citing damaged cases and endless RMA cycles, remind anyone of another manufacturer in this thread? *cough*Antec*cough*

Fractal has an awesome design and concept going, they just gotta get a handle on their packing/shipping/handling/qc. Perhaps, at their unbelievably low price point, damaged cases are hard to avoid. Somethings gotta give when your selling cases of that caliber for ~$99.

I will wholeheartedly agree, the Lian-Li leaves alot to be desired in the looks department, however, I think a paintjob could redeem the aspiring contender. Quality and functionality are big pros for me, and the K63 also fits a few other odd and personal requirements, mainly having the window, dual intake front fans, ability to handle a 240 rad with little or no modification, factory filters, mid-tower, and of course the price point. So far, the only other cases I can find that meet most or all of my requirements are pushing the $200-250 range, and I'm sorry but I cannot justify spending that much on my case. Ultimate budget for my build will not surpass $1000 and I've yet to begin my search for a quality PSU among other things.

I'm quickly becoming a champion of the K63's design and if I dont quit talking about it, I'm just gonna have to start writing reviews about it, the looks do grow on you once you've stared at it for a while.
