Well my sister's boyfriend saw my computer and thought it was awsome that it was blue and such, and wondered if I could get his laptop to light up.. So now I have an idea but not too sure how I would go about doing it. I was thinking, buy some LED's, find an old USB cord that I dont need, and rig em together and have the usb running out the back and plugging in, but is there an easer way? Besides which I dont even know how to go about doing my idea anyways lol.

What about something like this <a href="http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?campid=5337413396&toolid=10001&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.co.uk%2FNEON-BLUE-EL-CABLE-COMPUTER-MOD_W0QQitemZ250032581324QQihZ015QQcategoryZ75520QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem" target="_blank">LINKY</a>.<br><br>
Im not sure where you could put the box or if you could mod it to use the power of a USB port somehow.<br><br>
EDIT: Just an idea<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile">

you know, if you opend the case up you COULD but i mean COULD tap in to the power off a usb port. I'm not sure if it would think something was plugged into the port or not but i guess if he has enough you could spare one. If it does (and even if it doesn't just for convience) Attach a small switch (just a basic on off slide switch) and then add the lights from there. Suppose you could drill in leds to light the under side, and maybe even add a jewl on top. worth a try
