Linksys CM100 Cable Modem- Vista64 Drivers exist?

497 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  ed102r
Hi hi. I was going to switch over to the 64bit version of Vista but I can't find any drivers for my cable modem.

I just wanted a second opinion on weather I need a new modem to switch. The Linksys website doesn't give me any drivers to download at all, but it does give me the users manual.

Do third party drivers exist or work?

Thanx for any suggestions!

Why do you need drivers for a cable modem?
lol. I guess that tells how much I know about networkign and setting up my internet. hehe

The cable modem came with a cd and software, i thought they where drivers. So I thought I needed them. If that's not the case then I may be all set then. I also have a Linksys router WRT54g2 version 1.

So I'm assuming I don't need to look for special drivers for vista64 then? yay!
You only need drivers for a cable modem if it's connected to your computer via USB instead of Ethernet.
