Linksys WRT54G will Reset on its own??

This has happend to me a few times in the past couple of months, I will wake up to my internet connection being disconnected in my room using wireless connection and when I try to connect my network has changed to the name "Linksys" with no Security Encryption what so ever,...so then I will have to re-setup the whole thing again...whats going on?

unfortunately that is a sign that your router might be going bad. I had a past router reset itself to factory defaults randomly for a couple months then it finally completely died on me.

You can always try to upgrade your firmware via linksys website or even with a 3rd party firmware like DD-WRT and see if it will save your settings.

Either the Router itself is going bad, or the NVRAM or RAM is corrupt. I would try to upgrade to a newer firmware, or upgrade to DD-WRT.
