So I've been contemplating switching out the old 5400rpm drive in my laptop with a spare SATAII SSD I have laying around.

I had this in mind a few weeks ago, and today I saw that in kernel 3.8 Samsung's F2FS File-system (supposed to be flash friendly) was merged.

Anyone tried this out yet by chance? Any advantages over just plan old EXT4?

I was thinking of possibly giving it a spin on an embedded project of mine. But I not until I've fixed the other bugs first.

I have similar plans for it as well. I'm gonna make a flash media based computing cluster (RPis) right now I have it working, but theres some kinks to work out before introducing a recently added (albeit after much community testing) to the image.
