A lot of different distros will work. Depends on how comfortable you are with using Linux. Fedora is a nice one and its pretty easy to use. Latest release is Fedora core 6.
And depending on what you plan on doing with it, FreeNAS I hear is nice to. Based off of FreeBSD, which is a nice Unix OS to use if you have the know-how(its what runs OCN).

I had actually looked at Fedora before. Is there is certain version of it that is server only or will the regular OS work? Also, you said it depends on how framiliar I am with Linux. Hate to say it but I am not very framiliar with it. I am ausming though that Fedora's Core is easier to use.

Currently the Fedora line there is only one release really, the latest being Fedora core 6. In the next release, they are spliting it in to a desktop line and a server line. But, yes, just Fedora Core 6 will work. During the install when you go through packages, theres an option to select sever stuff and if you look at the bottom of that screen theres and option to custom now. If you choose that, then you will on the next window, have the option to choice the different apps besides just the stock ones. Fedora is also pretty easy to use.

Red hat is a popular server platform. I used fedora for my website, but it was a little too buggy for me. I just went to Windows.
