Linx fails after 1 hour - i7 @ 4.0GHz

This is with 191BCLK and 21x multiplier, 1.14v ICH and IOH, and 1.335v QPI/Vtt.

Linx just failed on problem size 15,500 after about an hour(68 runs)with vcore at 1.3375v. I just bumped the vcore two notches up to 1.35v, but I'm a bit impatient, and don't want to see if Linx will run for 2 or more hours.

Is it safe to start folding, or should I run Linx and make sure it won't throw an error?

I would say run it again just to be safe. Can never be too cautious

if it's prime95 stable, then up your ram volts or VTT. LinX wants your ram to be stable as a rock (iirc)

Or loosen the timings a bit

The above 3 posts are all good advice, and if you are still having no luck you may want to try your QPI at 1.35V.
After lots of time and effort, I couldn't get my i7 to settle on 4ghz 24/7 stable, so I just pulled it back to 3.8, which allowed me to drop my vCore bt 0.15 so I was happy in the end.
I just tried Linx again with 1.35v in bios(cpu-z says 1.31v) and it failed after 58 minutes. It may be the ram, or heat. I'm hitting 80-82C on two cores and 78C on the others. I'll put it back to 3.8 and just be happy I got it there
.

I'll try again once I get a good push/pull setup.

This may sound counter intuitive, but try your VTT and IOH, ICH at default, mem at 1.6, and relax the timing a little until you can get the cpu stable.
